Laken Cook and William Tujague will be married on May 20, 2017.

William Brad Cook of Madisonville and JoAn Kinnison Cook of Denham Springs are pleased to announce the upcoming wedding of their daughter, Laken Renee Cook, to William Evron Tujague.

Cook is a 2009 graduate of Live Oak High School. She graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2013 with a bachelor’s of science in nursing.

She is currently an ICU RN at Baton Rouge General, and she is pursuing a doctorate of nursing practice in nurse anesthesia, with an expected graduation in 2019.

Her grandparents are Jimmie (deceased) and Ruth Kinnison of Hammond, and Cleatus (deceased) and Elaine Cook of Mt. Hermon, La.

The groom graduated from Our Lady of the Lake College in 2008 with an associate’s of science in nursing. He then graduated from LSU Health - New Orleans in 2011 with a bachelor’s of science in nursing.

He is currently studying mechanical engineering at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.

His parents are Frank Gerard Tujague and Lisa Tujague of Whiteville, La., and Martha Bertinot West & Chuck West of Chataignier, La.

His grandparents are Neil (deceased) and Lorraine Bertinot of Opelousas, La., and Leon Evron Tujague Jr. (deceased) and Betty Trudeau Tujague of Opelousas, La.

The wedding will be held on May 20, 2017, at Halekai III in Gulf Shores, Alabama, with Jake Chapman as the Master of Ceremonies.
