Susanna Hodge Bryant and Nicholas David Folse were married in a 6:00 pm ceremony on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at La Maison de Bella in Prairieville, Louisiana. Mr. Steven E. Sanders officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Thomas Bryant, Sr. of Denham Springs. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Lee Bryant, and the late Mrs. Dorralie R. Scroggin and the late Mr. Russell Dean Wright.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Edward Folse, Jr. of White Castle. He is the grandson of Mrs. Shirley Ware Folse and the late Mr. Warren Edward Folse, Sr., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Alfred Alleman.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory peau-de-soie satin gown embellished by a bateau neckline and an crystal beaded obi style sash. Covered buttons ran the length of the gown’s back and train, and the elbow length double illusion veil was discreetly trimmed with crystal edging. The bride also donned her great-great grandmother’s cameo and her own blue cameo, a gift from her parents, inside her sash as her something old and something blue. The bride carried a bouquet of roses, hydrangeas, peonies, and dusty miller.

The bride was attended by her maid of honor, Roxie Messa of Youngsville. Bridesmaids were Chasity Richard Ferguson of Denham Springs, Hillary Borde Green of Lake Charles, and Sarah Cobb Edwards of Denham Springs. The bridesmaids wore floor length crepe and chiffon gowns of an aubergine color.

The groom was attended by his best man, Robert Michael Kees, Jr. of Plaquemine. Groomsmen were Benjamin Joseph Castagnos of Youngsville, Paul Ross Bryant of Walker, and Joey Paul Allen of Baton Rouge. Ushers were Terry Thomas Bryant, Jr., of Kenansville, Florida, and Jonathan MacDonald Bryant of Denham Springs. Readers at the ceremony were Lee Hayes Barthel and Megan Folse.

On the eve of the wedding, the bride’s parents hosted family, friends, and out of town guests at Restaurant IPO in Baton Rouge. A bridal luncheon honoring the bride’s attendants and ceremony readers was held on Saturday, February 13 at Restaurant IPO in Baton Rouge.

The couple honeymooned in the Bahamas and now reside in Prairieville.
