Two Livingston Parish students and 4-H members traveled to Camp Grant Walker in Pollock, La., in January for the Louisiana State Fashion Camp. Skylar Brandon of Springfield High School, a member of the State 4-H Fashion Board, assisted at the camp as a junior helper, while Autumn Herring of Holden Elementary 4-H, attended as a camper where she took part in fun projects to learn basic sewing and fashion design skills. As part of the “Fashion Walk of Fame,” as this year’s camp was themed, attendees sewed plush pillow cases, ear bud pouches, sleep masks, and other accessories, and they also learned how to sketch fashion designs (croquis).
