Seven former Livingston Parish high school students were awarded degrees during the University of Louisiana at Monroe Spring 2017 Commencement on Saturday, May 13.
Walker High led the way for Livingston Parish with four ULM graduates, while Denham Springs High, Maurepas and Holden each produced one of the 680 students who received walked across the stage Saturday.
Gerald T. Sibley, a former Walker student, was one of ULM 34 students to graduate summa cud laude, earning a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology. Charlotte L. Meyer, also of Walker, was one of 45 students to graduate magna cum laude, earning a bachelor of science degree in biology.
Mi’ca Keanna Lowe (bachelor of science in toxicology) and Sara Elizabeth Tyree (bachelor of science in dental hygiene) also represented Walker at the ceremony.
Tiffany Michelle Arnold was the lone ULM grad from DSHS, earning her doctor of pharmacy degree in professional pharmacy. Cody L. Guitreau of Maurepas received the same degree as Arnold, while Kacey M. Lafleur received her bachelor of science degree in radiologic technology.
The graduation ceremony was held at Fant-Ewing Coliseum, starting at 10 a.m.
