ZACHARY – The Bank of Zachary will be sponsoring two Community Shred Days where residents can dispose of confidential documents securely free of charge.

The first Shred Day will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 15, at the Main Branch, 4743 Main St., Zachary.

The second will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 22, at the Central Branch, 13444 Hooper Road, Central.

The events are for all community residents and local business owners.

CC’s Streetside Café will be on-site during the events serving up coffee and fresh-baked pastries.

“Maintaining optimal security is essential and we are happy to extend an opportunity to our community to dispose of sensitive documents in a secure environment,” said Mark Marionneaux, Bank of Zachary president.

“In this digital age, we are committed to safeguarding against identity theft by upholding sound security practices in our branches and online,” Marionneaux said.

“Always being mindful of where confidential information is disposed is another way to maximize your security.”

Documents with staples, paper clips or binder clips will be accepted.

Plastic, three-ring binders, hardback books, CDs, DVDs and video or cassette tapes will not be accepted.
