The final pass to pick up flood-related debris in the City of Denham Springs will begin Monday, Jan. 23, according to Mayor Gerard Landry.

The city asks that all flood debris – including furniture and other flood-damaged possessions – be placed at the roadside by the evening of Sunday, Jan. 22.

Appliances and electronics are excluded from the pickup. Homeowners are responsible for removing their own construction debris.

Residents are also asked not to place debris, as it will impact drainage, Landry said.

If private property access is needed to pick up debris, a right-of-entry must be filed no later than 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19.

The form can be obtained at City Hall or the city website.

Homeowners can also call City Hall at (225) 665-8121 and have one mailed to them. This applies to residential pickup only on Denham Springs streets and state highways.

Questions regarding pickup can be addressed by calling Denham Springs City Hall at (225) 665-8121.
