Cane Market Road (La. 1024) at the railroad crossing near U.S. 190 near Walker will be closed for three days beginning Wednesday, according to the state Department of Transportation & Development.

The road will be closed at 7 a.m. Wednesday and remain closed until 5 p.n. Friday, said Clay Gottschalck, construction coordinator with DOTD’s District 62 office in Hammond.

Motorists wishing to travel west on Cane Market Road should use U.S. 190 west to La. 449 north, he said.

Motorists on Cane Market Road who want to travel east or west on U.S. 190 should use Cane Market Road westward to La. 449 south.
