HOLDEN – The outside shoulder of Interstate 12 will be closed in two sections on separate days next week, according to the state Department of Transportation & Development
The I-12 westbound outside shoulder will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, approximately 2.7 miles west of La. 441, the Holden exit, said Bryan Fontenot, maintenance specialist with DOTD’s District 62 office in Hammond.
The I-12 eastbound outside shoulder will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, July 17, approximately 2 miles east of South Frost Road (La. 63), the Livingston exit, he said.
Both shoulder closures are needed for subsurface utility location, Fontenot said.
All lanes of Interstate 12 will remain open doing the work, he said.
Motorists can take U.S. 190 as an alternate route, he said.
