Donations are now being accepted through several sources for the family of the late Sgt. Shawn Anderson of the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office.

Anderson was a resident of Walker. He leaves behind his wife, Becky, and two children.

A “Go Fund Me” account has been set up at the following URL:

The Walker High girls basketball team will hold a lunch fundraiser on Tuesday, April 4, at school featuring a smoked leg quarter, baked beans and garlic potatoes. Tickets are $10 from any basketball player or WHS front office. Lunches can be delivered to any school or business that purchases 20 or more. Pickup will be available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Also, Donations can be made payable to EBRSO's "Sgt. Shawn Anderson Memorial Fund" and mailed to:

Attn: Finance Office

EBRSO also encourages the community to continue to donate to the First Responder Fund Donation for deputies involved in the tragic events on July 17th, 2016.
