BATON ROUGE – Graduates from six Livingston Parish high schools were recognized at a reception by a Baton Rouge TV station and will be included in its annual salute to the Class of 2017.

Honored on Saturday, May 13, at LSU were Isabella Kreko, Albany High; Matthew Gordon, French Settlement High; Eric Forbes, Holden High; Deanna R. Luneau, Live Oak High; Shelby Chandler, Springfield High; and Abigail Edwards, Walker High.

They will be among 90 academic achievers to be featured in the “28th Annual Best of the Class 2017” by WAFB-TV from 11 parishes and two Mississippi counties.

“All of us at WAFB are proud to be able to recognize the accomplishments of these great students,” said Lee Meredith, station general manager. “These young men and women are destined for great things as they go on to college and their careers.”

A series of 60-second announcements on each graduate will be aired through June.
