Livingston Parish Animal Shelter

The Livingston Parish Animal Shelter has many dogs waiting to be adopted into loving homes. The shelter is located on Hwy. 190 in Livingston, next to the water tower. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The shelter does not take in dogs from the public. Dogs are only brought in by the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office. For more information, call 686-7798 and leave a message.

Trophy buck for King

Kennedy King, a 13-year-old 8th grader at North Corbin Jr. High killed, this 198 lb. 9-point scoring 150 1/8 on Jan. 9 in the Port Gibson, Miss., area. This is the second buck for the daughter of Lawson and Nicole King of Denham Springs. She bagged her first when she was 10 years old.
