Milton Leroy“Buddy”Spiller, 82, a longtime resident of Walker, passed away on Dec. 30, 2016.

He was born in Watson on Nov. 25, 1934, the youngest son of Clyde and Ella Spiller of Denham Springs and the second youngest of 11 children. He was a retired masonry contractor.

Spiller is survived by his daughters, Vicki Spiller, Rhonda Melancon and husband Ralph, Julie Vaughn and husband Scott, and son Joshua Spiller; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Mary Alice McCaa; two brothers, George Spiller and Phillip Spiller, four sisters – Maxine Thompson, Jennie Hood, Harriet Thompson and Grace Eccles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Sr. and Ella Spiller, and brothers, E.C. Spiller Jr., S.B. Spiller and Callie Spiller, and sister Johnnie Wheat.

Pallbearers will be Landon Melancon, Tristan Vaughn, Duane Dyess, Mark Dyess, Victor “Bo” Jarreau, Victor Jarreau Jr. Honorary Pallbearers: Scott Vaughn, Joshua Spiller.

Visitation will be held at Revival Temple in Walker starting at 9:30 a.m. Saturday with services following at 12:30pm, conducted by Pastor Wes Courtney. Burial will follow at Vickers Cemetery.
