Shannon Roberts, of Denham Springs, and Hunter Thornton, originally from Vidalia, La., were united in marriage on April 13, 2019, at Hebron Baptist Church in Denham Springs.
Ministers Destry McFearin and Jimmy Rowland officiated at the 10:30 a.m. ceremony. A reception followed.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Craig and Donis Roberts of Denham Springs. She was attended by Matron of Honor Victoria Herrmann, and her bridesmaids were Randil Robinson Stelly, Candace Nall, Lisa Gurley and Katelyn Jackson. The flower girl was Alice Herrmann.
The groom is the son of Joseph and Jennifer Thornton of Baton Rouge, and Cindy and Jason Bartlett of Ponchatoula. His best man was Cody Mulvihill, and his groomsmen and groomswoman were Casey Mills, Devonte Demby, Rebecca Caldwell and Steven Matthews.
The bride is an associate editor at BIC Alliance, and the groom is a rescue technician at Code Red Safety.
Special guests at the ceremony were the bride’s grandmother, Mary Bond Roberts, and her brother, Matthew C. Roberts, as well as the groom’s sisters and stepsisters, Dixie Jeannine (D.J.) Thornton, Kristen L. Dunson, Katherine A. Dunson and Ashley Norwood.
The couple will reside in Denham Springs.
