Scene It!

Walker area students act out a scene from “The Little Rascals” during the Talented Theatre program’s production of “Scene It!” at Walker Freshman High on Friday, April 12.

WALKER -- Gifted and talented theatre students recreated some of the most popular scenes in pop culture history when they presented multiple showings of “Scene It!” at Walker Freshman High this month.

The production featured 17 scenes from nine movies and three sitcoms, including “Forrest Gump,” “The Office,” “The Little Mermaid,” “The Little Rascals,” “Full House,” “Home Alone,” and “Harry Potter,” among others.

Starring 60 students from Walker area schools, actors performed under the direction of gifted and talented teacher Fabiola Reno. During the show, students acted, sang and danced in a variety of skits meant to showcase all of their skills.

Following both shows, the performers lined the stage to sign autographs for their families and friends.

Two seniors — Haley Davis and Ashlyn Marler — were presented replica “Oscar” trophies on opening night, a tradition Reno started to award students who remained with the program through graduation. Davis and Marler led the backstage crew during both productions.
