Denham Springs High School Wind Ensemble

The Denham Springs High School Wind Ensemble was one of two high school bands to put on a concert at the Columbia Theatre for the Performing Arts on Thursday, Feb. 1. The band was one of five nationwide invited to play at the Inaugural Cleveland Orchestra/Baldwin Wallace Conservatory International Festival at Carnegie Hall in New York City on Feb. 12.

The Louisiana Music Educators Association has announced its 2018-19 All-State Honor Band, which has more than a dozen students from Livingston Parish schools.

Walker High and Denham Springs High put a combined 15 students on the All-State Symphonic Band, Orchestra and Concert Band. Auditions for the honor band were held Saturday, Oct. 13.

Listed below are the Livingston Parish students selected to the LMEA All-State Honor Band:
