A collection of local artists will discuss their work on display at the Arts Council of Livingston Parish during an artists’ reception at the gallery from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 13.

The Arts Council is currently in the midst of its “The Wonders of the World” exhibit, which will be on display over the months of April and May in celebration of Earth Day.

The focus of the exhibit is celebrating “earth’s beauty through different mediums.” The nine participants are juried artists of the ACLP, and they are: Kerry Curtin, Mary Felder, Donna Francisco, Lucy Guevara, K.C. Kuhnert, Judy Momenzadeh, Glen Parks, Teri Sullivan and Sarah Starkey.

Artists contributed work in a variety of mediums, including acrylics, watercolor, photography, fiber art, pastels, quilts and collages.

Visitors can check out the free exhibit from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturdays. The Arts Council is located at 133 Hummell Street in downtown Denham Springs.

The exhibit runs through Saturday, May 25.
