A child was airlifted to a hospital after being bitten by a dog early Thursday afternoon, according to a spokeswoman from the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred at a private business north of Hwy. 1019 just after 1 p.m. Thursday, LPSO spokeswoman Lori Steele said.
The child was sent to the hospital via AirMed, but the child’s injuries to not appear to be life-threatening, Steele said.
An investigation is underway.
