DENHAM SPRINGS – Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives are looking for a suspect who stole a man’s wallet and drained his bank account, according to a Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman.

“Recently, a victim reported to us that his wallet was taken while purchasing gas in Denham Springs,” said Lori Steele, sheriff’s spokeswoman.

The victim’s bank account was then drained of more than $1,300 through unauthorized transactions at Livingston Parish retailers and convenience stores, Steele said.

Deputies obtained video surveillance footage of those unauthorized transactions and released the still images to identify the suspect.

“Our detectives would like to ID, locate and have a word with the suspect,” she said.

Anyone with information is asked to call (225) 686-2241 ext. 1 or Greater Baton Rouge Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-STOP (7867).
