LIVINGSTON -- District Attorney Scott Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in 21st Judicial District Court in June and pleaded either guilty or no contest or were found guilty of the following crimes and received the following sentences:

June 11-12

Judge Elizabeth Wolfe

Wallace Allen, 27, of Denham Springs, pleaded no contest to attempted simple escape, simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, simple criminal damage to property $500-$5,000, and resisting an officer with force or violence. He was sentenced to 11 years with the Department of Corrections. One year must to be served without the benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.

Sidney Fairchild, 37, of French Settlement, pleaded no contest to two counts failure to register as a sex offender. He was sentenced to 2 years with the Department of Corrections for each count. Time is to be served concurrently without the benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence. He received credit for time served.

Robert Hill Jr., 52, of Watson, pleaded no contest to simple burglary, conspiracy to aggravated burglary of an inhabited dwelling and possession of Schedule III controlled dangerous substances. He was sentenced to 8 years with the Department of Corrections. Time is to be served concurrently. He received credit for time served.

Gawain Salassi, 24, of Livingston, pleaded no contest to illegal use/possession/control of weapons-crime of violence/controlled dangerous substances. He was sentenced to 5 years with the Department of Corrections. Time is to be served without the benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.

June 18

Judge Robert Morrison

Robert Brumfield, 29, of Walker, pleaded no contest to attempted possession with intent to distribute Schedule I controlled dangerous substances - marijuana. Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 27, 2018.

Donald Methvien, 51, of Killian, pleaded no contest to simple criminal damage to property $1,000-$50,000. He was sentenced to 2 years with the Department of Corrections. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for 3 years. He was ordered to pay a $350 fine along with court costs.

Elizabeth Stewart, 35, of Denham Springs, pleaded no contest to possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substances - methamphetamine. Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 27, 2018.

Bradley Vicory II, 23, of Denham Springs, pleaded no contest to aggravated flight from an officer where human life is endangered. He was sentenced to 5 years with the Department of Corrections. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for 3 years. He was ordered to pay a $500 fine along with court costs.

Deitra Farar, 47, of Walker, pleaded no contest to third-offense driving while intoxicated. She was sentenced to 1 year with the Department of Corrections.

Jessie Berry, 53, of Ponchatoula, pleaded no contest to possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substances. He was sentenced to 2 years with the Department of Corrections. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for 2 years. He is ordered to pay a $500 fine along with court costs.

Ashley Covington, 38, of Denham Springs, was sentenced to 30 years with the Department of Corrections for vehicular homicide-controlled dangerous substances. Eight years of the sentence was suspended. She will be placed on probation for 3 years after her release.

Joshua Suarez, 39, of Independence, pleaded no contest to resisting an officer with force or violence. He was sentenced to 1 year in the parish jail. He received credit for time served.

Clifton Starks, 52, of Walker, pleaded no contest to three counts of simple burglary. He was sentenced to 5 years with the Department of Corrections for each count. Time is to be served concurrently.
