The North Corbin Junior High School 4-H Club has kicked off the school year with its first service project.
The group of 4-H’ers collected cleaning supplies and monetary donations for Jinks Middle School, a school in Panama City, Florida, that was damaged by Hurricane Michael.
NCJH students could identify with the natural disaster.
After the August 2016 flood, they knew just how valuable these items were, which is why 4-H Club members spent the afternoon separating and packing cleaning supplies. They also made cards to send along with their donations.
This is just one of the many projects that they have planned for this school year.
