The second installment of the Walker Farmers Market will take place Saturday, July 14, at Hebert’s Cajun Meats and Diner.
The market will be open from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at 9360 Florida Blvd in Walker.
The first market held in late June drew about 25 vendors, and at least that many are expected for the second, said organizer Chrissy Hebert. Nearly all of the vendors come from Livingston Parish.
Some of the items patrons can expect to find are homegrown vegetables and fruits, fresh eggs, meats, homemade desserts and breads, as well as soaps, lotions, bath bombs, quilts, purses, pot holders, jellies, pickles, sauces, candles, woodwork, and handmade jewelry and crafts.
After this weekend, the next Walker Farmers Market is scheduled to be held two weeks later, on Saturday, July 28.
Those interested in becoming a vendor are encouraged to message the “Walker Farmers Market” Facebook page or reach out to Hebert’s Cajun Meats and Diner during regular business hours.
