An exhibit sponsored by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries will be on display at the Denham Springs-Walker Library through the months of October and November.

DENHAM SPRINGS -- There’s a bear on the loose at the Denham Springs-Walker Library.

But don’t worry — it’s supposed to be there.

A stuffed Louisiana black bear is part of a two-month-long exhibit sponsored by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.

The exhibit, which will be on display at the library through the months of October and November, details information about animals common to Livingston Parish and the surrounding parishes. The educational materials also offer information on fishing, birds, turtles, and a variety of other animals.

Oh yeah, there’s also a bear on display for visitors who enjoy posing for photographs.

The library is located at 8101 U.S. Hwy. 190 in Denham Springs. It is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday, and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
