DENHAM SPRINGS – The Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce has organized eight teams across the parish to tackle litter on Saturday.

Chamber CEO/President April Wehrs said more than 100 volunteers have signed up. The Sheriff’s Office and municipal police departments also will be helping will safety, she added.

The teams will gather at 7:30 a.m. at their designated locations for a briefing from their team leaders, according to the Chamber’s website.

Cleaning up of roadways will begin 8 a.m. and wrap up at 11 a.m.

A post-event bash will be held at Walk-On's at Juban Crossing, to weigh garbage and measure the impact of the teams’ efforts.

The eight teams, and where they will meet, are:

--Denham Springs Team, meeting in Labarre's parking lot, 8385 Rushing Road Denham Springs, led by Angela Cannon, of Labarre Associates.

--Denham-Juban Team meeting in Rouses Market parking lot, 10130 Crossing Way No. 300, led by Shelby Carnahan, All-Star Automotive & Carnahan Andrews CPA.

--Walker Team, meeting at Walker City Hall, 10136 Florida Blvd, Walker led by Mike Cotton, City of Walker.

--Satsuma Team, meeting in the North Oaks parking lot, 17199 Spring Ranch Road, Livingston, led by Regina Scott, of North Oaks.

--Livingston Team, meeting at the Livingston Parish Courthouse, 20300 Government Blvd, Livingston, led by Kelsie Moak, of Gulf South Technology Solutions.

--Holden Team, meeting at Ferrara Fire Appartus, 27855 James Chapel Road North, Holden, led by Trey Sanders, of Hannis T. Bourgeois.

--Albany Team, meeting in the Livingston Parish Tourism parking lot, 30340 Catholic Hall Road, Albany, led by John Blount, led by Blount General Contractors.

--Port Vincent Team, meeting at 18320 La. 42, Port Vincent, offices of Quality Engineering & Surveying.
