DENHAM SPRINGS – The monthly report from Denham Springs’ Office Planning of Development shows continued growth in the parish’s westernmost municipality.
While Livingston Square Shopping Center continues work on repairing and updating the façade on the two buildings, Airborne Extreme will soon be receiving neighbors. On Thursday, December 13 Sweet Rolls will host a ribbon cutting for their first day of business. The specialty ice cream store began in Hammond and offers a different style of the cold, sweet treat.
Also coming to Livingston Square is ABK Wireless – a cell phone and accessories store.
A new project was inserted on the rolls this month, Cubesmart. The self-storage company, based out of Malvern, Pennsylvania, seeks to ‘deliver the best storage experience for customers.’ Cubesmarts are, typically, multi-floor, indoor storage facilities. Construction drawings were submitted for an address of 100 Rushing Road.
There’s more space coming to the Bass Pro Shops area, as well. Sac-Au-Lait Center, which will be situated between the Sarita’s development and Hooters, will have three spaces – two for retail, one for a restaurant. While tenants have not yet been determined, building inspector Rick Foster has submitted plan review comments to the developer for discussion.
Construction continues on two large projects. Sandifer Dental Office, which temporarily relocated to Walker after the Great Flood, is taking shape on Florida Boulevard and the new building should be ready in the coming months. Urban Air Adventure Park, a Dallas-based trampoline park company, continues to move dirt on Bass Pro Boulevard with construction beginning after the first of the year.
