FRENCH SETTLEMENT – Three suspects are in custody in connection with a string of burglaries along La Trace Road in French Settlement, according to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Jesse Watts, 32, was arrested Wednesday afternoon by deputies after a manhunt in the La Trace Road area, according to Lori Steele, sheriff’s spokesman.
Watts was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center on simple burglary, two counts resisting arrest, possession of Schedule II drugs, prohibited acts/drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm/carrying a concealed weapon by a convicted felon.
Bond was set at $76,500, but Watts is being held on no bond on a parole violation detainer from Wisconsin.
Arrested were Alice Sweeney, 38, and Brianna Bohringer, 23.
Sweeney was booked into the Detention Center on theft of a motor vehicle, simple burglary, attempted simple burglary and resisting an officer.
Her bond was set at $33,000.
Bohringer was booked on obstruction of justice. Her bond was set at $25,000.
All three suspects were staying in the French Settlement area, Steele said.
“This case is the direct result of hard work from veteran detectives and deputies in our Uniform Patrol Division following every possible lead and using resources available to our team,” Sheriff Jason Ard said.
“We appreciate the cooperation and patience of homeowners in the area,” Steele said.
