LIVINGSTON -- A Livingston man in a work-release program died in an accident on the job Thursday, according to the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office.
Ronnie Francois, 51, died from a head injury on construction job through the LPSO partnership with Livingston TWP. Francois worked a job manufacturing construction materials, Sheriff Jason Ard said.
Francois was pronounced dead on the scene. No foul play is suspected.
"After taking a hard look at this case, our initial results point to this being a tragic accident," Ard said in a prepared statement. "My thoughts and prayers are with the family as they grieve the loss of a man who was working toward turning his life around through the program."
The case remains under investigation.
