LIVINGSTON -- A 26-year-old Livingston resident died Sept. 15 in a single-vehicle crash on La. 63 north of US 190 in Livingston Parish, according to Louisiana State Police.

Max A. McLin was driving a 1997 Ford F-150 northbound  when he veered off the highway after he entered a left-hand curve.

The crash occurred shortly after 10 a.m.

The vehicle traveled down an embankment and struck several tress after it left the roadway, according to Sgt. Jared L. Sandifer.

McLin was unrestrained at the time of the crash and sustained fatal injuries as a result.

Impairment is not suspected to be a factor in the crash, but a toxicology sample was taken from McLin for submission to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for analysis.

The crash remains under investigation.
