 DENHAM SPRINGS – An off-Broadway musical celebrating the Christmas season is coming to Denham Springs for a 10-show run.

The evening will offer a dinner, the play, an encore performance by  various celebrity entertainers and a meet-and-greet with the entertainer.

A news conference Wednesday at Forrest Grove Plantation – where the shows will be held – introduced the Walker native who put together the concept.

Chris Antie said “Twas a Candlelight Nights will run for 10 shows  between Nov. 25 to Dec. 22.

Almost half of the 3,000 tickets have been sold, he said.

With him was Kendall Claire of Baton Rouge, the star of the show.

Antie, who runs CaliNewYork Live, a New York City entertainment company, said, “To bring this here is a proud moment.”

Among the performers lined up are Melissa Manchester, Dolores “La La” Brooks and Ronnie Spector.

Making the announcement of the production was Denham Springs Mayor Gerard Landry. Also on hand was Livingston Parish President Layton Ricks.
