Satellite Polling Site

The Denham Springs-Walker Branch of the Livingston Parish Library is set to become a satellite polling place for early voting. The signing of a memorandum of understanding during the Livingston Parish Council meeting Feb. 7 will put the plan into action. 

LIVINGSTON – Hours for the new early-voting site at the Denham Springs-Walker Branch Library for the May 4 election have been released, according to Jason Harris, Livingston Parish Clerk of Court.

Registered voters can cast their ballots from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 20, and Monday, April 22, through Saturday, April 27.

No voting will be conducted on Sunday, April 22.

The library is located at 8101 Florida Blvd., Denham Springs.

Early voting also will be held during the same hours and dates at the Registrar of Voters Office, 29938 S. Magnolia, Livingston.

Voting in the municipal general election on May 4 will be from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at voting precincts.

The gubernatorial election is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 12.

The early-voting period for this election is Saturday, Sept. 28, and Monday, Sept. 30, to Saturday, Oct. 5.

Voters who are physically unable to vote in person at the polls on election day and unable to vote in person at the Registrar’s Office may be eligible for the Special Program for Physically Handicapped Voters.
