WALKER -- Intermittent and alternating lane closures are scheduled Friday and Saturday nights on La. 447, according to the state Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD).

Work crews will be installing high friction surface treatment (HFST) on L. 447, DOTD said.

From 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, HFST will be applied on the La. 447 curve 1½ miles north of La. 16 near Port Vincent.

From 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, it will be conducted on the La. 447 curves 6 and 6.2 miles north of La. 16, or 2.1 miles south of Interstate 12.

Treatment on other sections of La. 447 were conducted Wednesday and Thursday nights.

No oversized loads greater than 12 feet wide will be allowed through the construction zone during work hours, DOTD said.

Traffic will be maintained through the work zone at all times.
