WALKER – Luck was against an injured kitten that tried to cross Walker South Road, but a couple of Walker police officers turned its luck around.

Motorcycle Officers Daniel Sylve and Scott Glenn spied the injured kitten trying to dodge traffic Tuesday on Walker South Road, according to Capt. John Sharp, police spokesman.

The officers were able to rescue the kitten and took it to a local veterinarian to be examined, Sharp said.

The kitten’s luck kept getting better, as the two officers persuaded a local resident to adopt the kitten, he said.

The vet found the kitten had a broken leg, it will make a full recovery.
