Harry Woodrow Kimble passed away peacefully in his home on Sept. 14, 2018, in Walker, Louisiana, at the age of 86. Harry is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Gloria Faye Buhler Kimble; children, Theresa (Jerry) Jolly, Debra (Brian) Facemire, Jackie (Rene’ Theriot) Roddy, Darlene (Mike) Campbell, Dewanna (Ronnie) Chevalier, and Ronald (Michelle) Kimble; grandchildren, Aimee (Richard) Mize, Ashleigh (Justin) Cashe, Avery Jolly, Nicole, Michael, Stephen Facemire, Nicholas Edgar, Kristi (Greg) Garrard, Victoria (Kayon) Grant, Jessica and Hunter Roddy, Brandy (Chuck) Autrey, Cory Campbell, Stanton and Chase Chevalier, Dustin and Chelsea Cooper, Derick (Micah), and Jason (Holli) Kimble; great-grandchildren, Hudson, Madeline, (arriving in January); great-grandson baby Simon, Haley, Emma, Mason, Katelynn, Emily, Desmond, Dre’Dyn, Jackson, Ryleah, Carsyn, Blakely, Raylin, Brayden, Prestyn, Greyson, Maggie, Lilly; and sisters; Gladys Albin, Mable (Joe) Guerin; and numerous nieces and nephews that adored him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elvie and Noah Kimble; his sisters and their spouses, Addie (Jule) Cutres, Bertha (Harry “Chiz”) Chisolm, Edna (Clyde) Everett, Annie Mae (David) Lee, Ruby (Charlie) Albin; brother Noah Kimble; brother in law, JD Albin; and great-grandson, Dre’ston. He served in the U.S. Navy and was active during the Korean War. Harry worked as a plumber and pipefitter and was a member of the Local 198 Union. He was a faithful member of Judson Baptist Church. His favorite past times included: reading his Bible, coon hunting, tending to his garden, tinkering with any available tractor, “counting his pennies” also known as napping like a champ, telling funny stories, and out eating anyone at any table at any time. Harry was a man’s man. He was everyone’s “favorite.” He was the definition of strong: strong in his faith, strong in his beliefs. He brought joy and love to everyone. He will be missed dearly. The Kimble family would like to extend special recognition to the outstanding caretakers and services of New Centry Hospice Care. Mrs. Garnette Brignac and Mrs. Lartarsha Joseph, Your love is appreciated. May God bless you as you have blessed the Kimble family. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, Louisiana, on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018, from 4-8 p.m. Visitation will continue at Judson Baptist Church in Walker, Louisiana, on Monday, Sept. 17, 2018, from 9 a.m. until Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Judson Baptist Church Cemetery.
