Helen Ivanyisky Ratcliff

Helen Ivanyisky Ratcliff, age 73, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018. Helen was a hairdresser for many years and later retired from the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office. She enjoyed playing Pokeno with her group the “Unique 12” for over 20 years. Helen adored her grandchildren and attended every event they had. If she was not able to attend she made sure to Facetime them. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren truly meant the world to her. Helen was a wonderful woman who is already so deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Ratcliff Kling and husband John, Tracy Ratcliff Bryson and husband Thomas ‘Bruiser,’ and Kimberly Ratcliff Hymel and husband Mike; sister, Julia ‘Dolly’ Tyukodi; grandchildren, BJ and Matt Savoy, Justin, Chad, and Jacob Bryson, Korey and Kasey Hymel, and Rachel and Dalton Kling; seven great-grandchildren; and her beloved pet, Cooper. Helen is preceded in death by her loving husband, Dewey Ratcliff; her parents, Joe and Mary Ivanyisky; grandparents; and an infant brother. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, Hammond, on Monday, Sept. 10, 2018, from 6-9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Service at noon. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret Catholic Church at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
