Jack Edward (Chance) Jamieson

Jack Edward (Chance) Jamieson was born in Alton, Illinois on July 24, 1947. He was 71 years of age. He went to his forever home on Jan. 10, 2019. He was the most humble, selfless, kind-hearted man you could ever meet. He loved traveling and spending time with his family and friends. He loved the game of poker and betting on his horses, hence the nickname Chance. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary S. Thomas; father, Arthur K. Jamieson; two brothers, Richard F. Jamieson and Steven C. Jamieson; nephew, Terry Maddox; and best friend, Joe Ballard. He is survived by his brother, Kenneth Jamieson of St. Louis, MO; sister, Debra Spaul of Godfrey, IL; his daughters, Chantel McCreary and husband Troy, and Tanya Manka. He has four grandchildren, Alexandra Tate and husband Dawson, Sydney McCreary, Jackson McCreary, and Emma Maher; one great-grandson, Beckham Tate; nieces, Angie McDonald of Godfrey, IL, and Kristin Schmieder of St. Louis, MO; and special friends Dian Jamieson O’Banion and Kent Maher. Thank you to the wonderful doctors and nurses at Ochsner-Baton Rouge, especially his favorite Audrey Richard, PAC, and St. Joseph’s Hospice. Jack was still giving selflessly even after his passing and donated his body to help others. A celebration of life will take place at First Baptist Church in Livingston, Louisiana, on Saturday, Jan. 26 from 1-3 p.m.
