William “Bill” Charles Smiley, 68, died Oct. 17, 2018, in Oklahoma City after a two-year battle with leukemia. He was born in Doyle, Louisiana, to William Clinton and Martha Lucille Hutchison Smiley. He was a resident of Oklahoma City since 2006, moving from Livingston, Louisiana. He was a sheet metal worker. Preceded in death by his parents, Bill was survived by his wife, Marilyn; step-daughter, Tina Palmer of Mustang, OK; stepson Gary Chambers of Oklahoma City; grandsons, Blake and Caleb Palmer, and Bryan Holt; two sisters, Martha Vaughn Davalos and husband Raphael, and Ellen Smiley Jones, all of Livingston; and nephews, Mike Vaughn and wife Barbara, John Vaughn, and Karl Vaughn.
