Winona M. Tate, who was born Sept. 30, 1931, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away on Nov. 14, 2018, in Omaha, Nebraska. Winona was a member of the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska. She is survived by her children, John A. Tate and wife, Joseph E. Tate and wife; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by husband, John W. Tate; and daughter, Jayne E. Tate. Services will be held Monday, Nov. 19, at 11 a.m. at the John A. Gentleman 72nd St. Chapel in Omaha, Nebraska. Interment will be in Omaha National Cemetery.
