WATSON -- Live Oak sophomore Rhett Rosevear continued his season-long offensive breakout with a 4-for-4 outburst against St. Michael on Tuesday to key a 20-3 rout.
Rosevear drove in 5 runs and scored 4 to anchor the Eagles’ 15-hit assault on the Warriors, who did all their damage in one inning after falling behind 12-0.
The outcome was pretty much decided when Live Oak (12-4) hung up 11 runs in the 2nd inning. Rosevear and Bailey Simoneaux anchored the onslaught with three-run home runs.
Simoneaux’s bomb was a big chunk of a 2-for-3, 3-run, 4-RBI night. Gabe Schenk, Lane Hutchinson, Sal Palermo and Landon Roberts each supplied a pair of hits apiece.
The Eagles head to the Atchafalaya Challenge this weekend, starting at 4 p.m. Friday at Acadiana. Live Oak will also take on Lafayette at 10 a.m. Saturday and St. Thomas More at 2 p.m.
