ALBANY -- Albany fell behind Sumner on Tuesday, but it didn't last long.

The Lady Hornets scored 42 points in the second half to key a 70-49 victory over the Cowgirls in District 7-3A action.

Albany trailed 12-11 at the end of the first quarter then went on a 17-9 run in the second quarter to pull ahead 28-19 at halftime.

Camryn Woods paced Albany (21-4, 4-1 District 7-3A) with 22 points, 19 in the second half, as the Lady Hornets extended their lead to 45-34 heading into the final quarter.

Tristan Miles added 12 points for Albany, while Natalie Kelly chipped in 9.

The Lady Hornets host Northshore in a non-district contest at 6 p.m. Thursday.
