It’s safe to say Holden and Maurepas left their marks on the District 7-B softball race, and the league’s all-district team reflects as much.

Holden, which won its second straight Class B championship, placed six players on the first team with pitcher Olivia Lackie claiming MVP honors.

Linzey Cifreo was chosen as the league’s Coach of the Year.

Six Maurepas players made the first team after the Lady Wolves finished second in the league: Pitcher McKenna Lessard, catcher Keegan Marchand, infielders KK Vicknair and Dru Bantaa and outfielders Sarah Crawford and Emma Gautreau.

Lackie, who recorded double-digit strikeouts in each of Holden’s four playoff wins, was joined by teammate Emma Hutchinson, who also made the first team as a pitcher.

The Lady Rockets' other first-teamers are catcher Ashley Fogg, infielders Olivia Barnes and Kacey Breithaupt and outfielder Gracie Duffy.

Pitcher Joley Fortenberry, catcher Kalei Hughes, infielder Khristian Schexneider and utility player Alexis Hughes of Mount Hermon round out the first team.
