MOUNT HERMON -- Gracie Duffy went 3-for-3 and drove in 5 runs, and Emma Hutchinson hurled a three-hitter with 9 strikeouts as Holden cruised to a 17-1 win over Mount Hermon in 4 innings in District 7-B action Tuesday.

The Lady Rockets (12-2, 1-0 district) got rolling with a five-run 1st inning, keyed by Hutchinson’s two-run single and Duffy’s RBI triple.

Hutchinson’s RBI single and Duffy’s three-run inside-the-park home run pushed the lead to 9-0 in the 2nd inning.

Mount Hermon scored its lone run in the bottom of the 3rd, but Holden put the game away with an eight-run 4th inning.

Duffy had an RBI double and Ashley Fogg had a two-run triple as part of the scoring surge.

Hutchinson was 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs and 3 runs, while Fogg, Kamrynn Ouber and Emma Wilson each had two hits as Holden had 15 hits.

Holden travels to face False River at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
