Court 13 Films, a New Orleans based production company and nonprofit, announces a casting call for an upcoming movie.
They are in the process of casting very specific roles for their upcoming feature film, an adventure story about a group of Louisiana kids who journey off to a magical island.
The company works entirely with people who have never acted before, so no acting experience is necessary to be considered for a role.
At this time, they are casting young adults between 13-24 as well as boys between 4-5 years old and girls 1-3 years old.
The roles are incredibly physically specific, as they are meant to portray the lead characters at different points in time throughout the film.
In order to submit, people can send photos of their kids (or themselves if over 18) to c13auditions@gmail.com along with their location and contact number.
The auditions will be on a rolling basis through November and possibly December, mainly in New Orleans, but some may be in Houma, Baton Rouge or Lafayette. The auditions usually take place on Saturday afternoons.
After people send in their photos, the company will be able to determine whether or not they are a match for the lead actors. Anyone who is a match will be contacted about coming in to audition (those who are not will also be notified).
