LIVINGSTON - District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reported the following individuals appeared in 21st Judicial District Court in August. They pleaded either guilty or no contest or were found guilty of the following crimes and received the following sentences:

Judge Donald Fendleson

Aug. 11

Daniel Abbott Jr., 23, of Denham Springs, pleaded guilty to possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substances - methamphetamine. He was sentenced to 2 years with the Department of Corrections. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for 2 years. He was ordered to pay all fines and court costs.

Daniel Cardenas, 37, of Denham Springs, pleaded guilty to possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substances - cocaine. He was sentenced to 1 year with the Department of Corrections.

Brad Cothern, 45, of Walker, pleaded guilty to third offense driving while intoxicated. He was sentenced to 1 year with the Department of Corrections.

Travis Dwyer, 21, of Wilson, N.C., pleaded guilty to possession of Schedule IV and Schedule II controlled dangerous substances. He was sentenced to 1 year with the Department of Corrections. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for 1 year. He was ordered to pay all fines and court costs.

Nick Giaccone Jr., 58, of Denham Springs, pleaded guilty to possession of Schedule IV controlled dangerous substances and 4 counts of possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substances. He was sentenced to 2 years with the Department of Corrections. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for 2 years. . He was ordered to pay all fines and court costs.

Floydean Haney, 62, of Denham Springs, pleaded no contest to possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substances. She received credit for time served.

Christopher Morris, 32, of Monroe, pleaded guilty to possession of Schedule I controlled dangerous substances - heroin. He was sentenced to 4 years with the Department of Corrections. He received credit for time served.

Dustin Samrow, 30, of Denham Springs, pleaded guilty to theft under $750, simple battery, and 3 counts of resisting an officer. He was sentenced to 95 days in the parish jail. He received credit for time served.

Charles Villneuve Jr., 41, of Denham Springs, pleaded no contest to possession of marijuana. He received credit for time served.

Aug. 25

Brendan Buchanan, 21, of Walker, pleaded no contest to possession of Schedule IV controlled dangerous substances. He was sentenced to 1 year with the Department of Corrections. He received credit for time served.

David Coutee, 30, of Walker, pleaded no contest to simple burglary. He was sentenced to five years with the Department of Corrections. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for five years. He was ordered to pay a $500 fine along with court costs.

Carl Elmore, 51, of Walker, pleaded no contest to possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substances. He received credit for time served.

Maria Ocmond, 33, of Walker, pleaded no contest to possession of Schedule IV and Schedule II controlled dangerous substances. She was sentenced to 2 years with the Department of Corrections. She received credit for time served.

Garry Porter Jr., 26, of Greensburg, pleaded no contest to simple battery. He was sentenced to six months in the parish jail. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for 1 year. He was ordered to pay a $350 fine along with court costs.

Tyrone Sarvaunt, 52, of Baton Rouge, pleaded no contest to hit-and-run driving. He was sentenced to six months in the parish jail. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for 2 years. He was ordered to pay a $350 fine along with court costs.

Joseph Waller, 28, of Denham Springs, pleaded no contest to possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substances. The sentence was deferred and he was placed on probation for 2 years. He was ordered to pay a $350 fine along with court costs.

Leon Williams, 57, of Gonzales, pleaded no contest to home improvement fraud. Sentencing was scheduled for Nov. 14.

John Willis, 34, of Denham Springs, pleaded no contest to possession of Schedule IV controlled dangerous substances and first-offense driving while intoxicated. He was sentenced to 2 years with the Department of Corrections. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for 3 years. He was ordered to pay a $984 fine along with court costs.

Alaina Yaun, 24, of Clinton, pleaded no contest to possession of Schedule I controlled dangerous substances. She was sentenced to 4 years with the Department of Corrections. The sentence was suspended and she was placed on probation for 2 years. She was ordered to pay a $350 fine along with court costs.

Heath Atkins, 34, of Gonzales, pleaded no contest to 2 counts of possession of Schedule III controlled dangerous substances. He was sentenced to 2 years with the Department of Corrections. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for 2 years. He was ordered to pay a $100 fine along with court costs.

Frank Cabibi IV, 30, of Hammond, pleaded no contest to second-offense driving while intoxicated, possession of Schedule IV controlled dangerous substances, and possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to 1 year with the Department of Corrections. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for 1 year. He was ordered to pay a $100 fine along with court costs.

Brandon Clark, 41, of Denham Springs, pleaded no contest to 2 counts possession of Schedule III controlled dangerous substances. He was sentenced to 2 years with the Department of Corrections. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for 2 years. He was ordered to pay a $100 fine along with court costs.

Maegan France, 36, of Denham Springs, pleaded no contest to possession of Schedule IV and Schedule II controlled dangerous substances. She was sentenced to 3 years with the Department of Corrections. The sentence was suspended and she was placed on probation for 3 years. She was ordered to pay a $100 fine along with court costs.

Melanie Gautreaux, 36, of Walker, pleaded no contest to sale/distribution/possession of a legend drug, possession of Schedule IV controlled dangerous substances, and possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substances. She was sentenced to 3 years with the Department of Corrections. The sentence was suspended and she was placed on probation for 3 years. She was ordered to pay a $100 fine along with court costs.

Christopher Parker, 22, of Springfield, pleaded no contest to aggravated flight from an officer. He was sentenced to 2 years with the Department of Corrections. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for 2 years. He was ordered to pay a $100 fine along with court costs.

Roy Tatro, 24, of Denham Springs, pleaded no contest to possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substances. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for 2 years. He was ordered to pay a $100 fine along with court costs.
