Joan Truax, a resident of Watson, passed away at her home on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018 at the age of 80. She was an avid reader and worked for the Livingston Parish Library for thirty years. Visitation will be held at Live Oak United Methodist Church on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018 from 5-9 p.m. Visitation on Wednesday will resume at 9 a.m. Dr. Mark Crosby will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Live Oak United Methodist Church Cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Walter Truax; son, Tim Truax and wife Robin; daughter, Daphan Salpietra and husband Jimmy; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great great-grandchild, and her sister, Liz Bankston and husband Harvey, and numerous nieces and nephews.
