Russ Johnson’s Blast Baseball Camp

Russ Johnson’s Blast Baseball Camp will teach hitting, fielding, base running, pitching and other fundamentals and attitude for ages 7-18 beginning May 29 at the Blast facility at 9121 Cockerham Road, Denham Springs. Registration is $250 for one of a series of three-day camps broken down by age groups. Camp sessions are May 29-June 1 for ages 7-9, June 4-7 for ages 10-12, June 11-14 for ages 13-14, June 18-21 for ages 15-16 and June 25-28 for ages 17-18. The sessions are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and include lunch. Russ Johnson was a Denham Springs and LSU baseball star and Major League Baseball player. Junior Golf Father’s Day Extravaganza

Livingston Parish junior golfers ages 11-18  are invited to compete in AJGT Father’s Day Extravaganza in Springfield June 19-20. The 2-day, 36-hole tournament is ranked by the National Junior Golf Scoreboard and hosted by the Arrowhead Junior Golf Tour. Includes two days of green fees, tee gifts, and trophies in four age divisions. Recommended accommodations are available at the Carter Plantation Villas. Please call 225-294-7555 for reservations. Denham Basketball Camp

Walker High School Volleyball Camp

A Volleyball Camp for all kids going into the 5th-8th grades is set for Monday-Wednesday (June 18-20) from 9 a.m. till noon inside Walker High’s Glenn Ellis Gym. $60 registration fee after May 16 until the day of the camp. Yellow Jacket Kids Football Clinic

The Denham Springs High School annual “Kids Football Clinic” is set for June 11-14 at the DSHS Yellow Jacket Stadium. The camp, opened for ages 7-15, will run from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Pre-registration cost is $70. Day of the camp - $80. Live Oak High Basketball Camp

The Live Oak High School Boys and Girls Basketball camp is set for June 11-14 inside the ‘current’ LOHS Gym. Headed up by LOHS head boys coach Brian Hargroder, the camp will run each day from 9 a.m. till noon. Early Bird registration (before June 1) is $50. Late registration is $65. Next Level Baseball Academy Camp

LP Express Summer Soccer Camp

The 2012 LP Express Summer Soccer Camp for boys and girls ages 4-14 will be held June 25-29 at the North Park Soccer Complex in Denham Springs. The camp will be led by an experienced staff of middle school, high school and tournament soccer coaches from Livingston Parish. Funds from the camp will be used to support school soccer in the parish. Camp times are 5 - 6:30 p.m. each day for ages 4-6 years ($50 fee) and 6 - 8:30 p.m. for ages 7-14 ($75 fee). Walker Basketball Camp

Walker High School Boys Coach Anthony Schiro will host a basketball camp for boys and girls from 1st grade through 8th grade on May 29-June 1 from 9 a.m. until noon each day. Fee is $60 for campers preregistered by May 24, $75 at the door. Cost is $45 for each additional child in the household. Sessions will be conducted in the Glenn Ellis Gymnasium at Walker High. Fee includes a camp T-shirt and individual and group instruction. Coaches include varsity boys coach Anthony Schiro, varsity girls coach Anton Schwartz, Shannon Lowe and current and former Wildcat and LadyCat players.
