Albany School Board Member Devin Gregoire helps Christopher Collins (9th Grade) clean out the container he used to mix paints for his bubble art project. The art project was used to teach important science research concepts. Students had to make hypotheses about bubbles, then blow bubbles and record their observations to determine if the “test” confirmed or changed their hypotheses.
Local Author Amy Galofaro of Independence, La., shared a reading of her book “Huxley, the Opry House Mouse” with students in Grades 1-8 who attended the Hornet Academy. She was joined by “Huxley,” who is a mouse with big dreams to become a country music superstar. “Huxley” also made rounds to visit the children during their lunch break.
