DENHAM SPRINGS, La. — Chef Beaux Restaurant in Denham Springs marked a new chapter Thursday, cutting the ribbon on Chef Beaux 2 Geaux, a catering service built to deliver its all-original Cajun comfort foods and gourmet pizzas to events of any size. The June 19 celebration filled the restaurant at 240 Range 12 Blvd., Suite 109, with family, staff, longtime customers, and the food itself, a full spread of the dishes the new venture will bring to the community.
The restaurant was specially decorated for the event with classy black and gold accents that highlighted its uniquely timeless antique decor, along with glowing fairy lights strung around the walls of greenery and the latticework fences separating the community area from the kitchen.
The ceremony drew several community members eager to show their support, including Chef Beaux's family and staff, curious onlookers, longtime customers, and several staff members from the Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce.
Beau Debetaz addressed the crowd to describe how thankful he is for all of their support and encouragement, highlighting the overwhelming assistance his family and staff have provided on his journey toward making this new chapter of his restaurant's story possible. The owner of Geisha Sushi, located at 240 Range 12 Blvd., Suites A&B, in Denham Springs, also attended and expressed support for Chef Beaux's continued success.
To extend the new venture's reach, Chef Beaux Restaurant is partnering with both Events at Serenity and Geisha.
Chef Beaux's newly released catering menu includes large trays and pans of in-house specialty pastas, southern-style egg rolls, charcuterie boards, classic fried seafood, brunch items, and desserts that can feed parties of up to 50 people. With Geisha, the restaurant also offers specialty sushi roll trays, sashimi and nigiri trays, teriyaki grilled platters, and more that can feed parties of up to 30 people.
For the ceremony, Chef Beaux provided pans of creamy chicken alfredo pasta, cheesy crawfish potato wedges, crispy fried catfish, and their famous crawfish gabrielle sauce.
Geisha provided a platter of raw and cooked sushi rolls, some with slices of fresh tuna and others with fish roe in rice, along with a large house salad with three different dressings.
Chef Beaux himself baked a large pan of decadently rich red velvet Oreo brownies that were a massive hit with attendees, a sweet way to end the taste-testing portion of the ceremony.
Chef Beaux's restaurant also carries Christy Blanco Desserts' specialty personal cheesecakes, in flavors such as biscoff cookie, pecan praline, and classic strawberry, all available for $13 at the counter. The restaurant supports Cornerstone Coffee as well, offering specialty bottled lattes in flavors like vanilla and banana muffin, with or without oat milk. Cornerstone Coffee caters as well, offering packages for large parties and weddings, with options ranging from gallons of coffee to refreshers, chai, hot chocolate, and dirty sodas.
