Veteran’s Appreciation Day 2025: A Thanksgiving of Praise
Why We Gather
Veterans Appreciation Day isn’t just a ceremony; it’s a sacred moment of remembrance, gratitude, and unity. On Saturday, November 22, 2025, the community will come together to honor those who served, those who sacrificed, and those who continue to stand in the gap for others.
This year’s theme, “Thanksgiving of Praise,” reminds us that freedom is never free and that gratitude is more than a feeling—it’s a response, a calling, and a celebration of lives lived in service to something greater.
Who We Honor
This event is dedicated to:
Veterans who served with courage and conviction
Active military who continue to defend our freedoms
Gold Star families who carry the legacy of loved ones lost in service
First responders who gave their lives protecting our communities
Local heroes from our region who were killed in the line of duty will also be recognized. Their names will be spoken, and their stories remembered.
What to Expect
Guest speakers from across the community
Live music by Dennis Calmes and his daughter Jennifer
A keynote speaker to be announced soon
A free meal for all in attendance, because fellowship is part of healing
This is a family-friendly event with space for reflection, celebration, and connection. Whether you’re a veteran, a family member, or simply someone who wants to say thank you, you belong here.
Why It Matters
In a world that moves fast and forgets easily, this day is our chance to pause, remember, honor, and give thanks.
We believe in the power of community and the strength of shared stories. When we stand together—across generations, backgrounds, and beliefs—we become stronger, kinder, and more united.
