Livingston Parish President Randy Delatte and Livingston Parish Tax Assessor Jeff Taylor have endorsed State Sen. Rick Edmonds in the District 5 congressional race.
In a video message, Delatte said, "This is my congressman. He is already representing Livingston Parish. We need him to now do it in Washington DC."
Taylor pointed to Edmonds' response to the 2016 flood as a reason for his support.
"Rick is a proven conservative who already represents Livingston Parish in the State Senate," Taylor said. "When our community flooded in 2016, Rick was here, showing up and standing with families when it mattered most."
Taylor said the district needs a local leader in Washington who will fight for the community's values and bring tax dollars home.
"Rick Edmonds is that leader," Taylor said. "I hope you will join me in supporting Rick Edmonds in Congressional District 5."
