DENHAM SPRINGS, La. — Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred late Friday morning outside Off The Hook restaurant on South Range Avenue.
According to the Denham Springs Police Department, the incident happened around 11:20 a.m. on Nov. 14. Investigators said an employee had just returned from the bank when an unknown man dressed entirely in black approached, pointed a gun, and demanded money.
The suspect, whose face was covered by a hoodie and mask, took about $500 in cash before fleeing in a dark-colored, late-model Chevrolet Silverado. Witnesses told police the truck headed south on South Range Avenue.
Detectives believe the suspect may have followed the employee from the bank to the restaurant parking lot. A second suspect is thought to have been waiting in the truck, which the gunman entered through the rear driver’s side before the vehicle drove away.
