Four arrested in Livingston Parish ICAC investigation into child exploitation

LIVINGSTON, La. — The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested four individuals following a multi-agency investigation into child exploitation offenses, according to a release from Sheriff Jason Ard.

The arrests were made in connection with cyber tips received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The LPSO Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force led the investigations in partnership with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, a division of the Office of Attorney General Liz Murrill.

The investigations began in June and July 2025 and focused on digital evidence relating to pornography involving juveniles. The following individuals were arrested:

  • Justin Baham, 30, of Holden

    • One count of indecent behavior with juveniles

    • One count of computer-aided solicitation of a minor

    • Three counts of pornography involving juveniles

  • Connor Teague, 27, of Denham Springs

    • Ten counts of distribution/production of pornography involving juveniles

    • One count of indecent behavior with juveniles

    • One count of computer-aided solicitation of a minor

  • Steven Avriett, 62, of Denham Springs

    • Seven counts of pornography involving juveniles

  • Christian Cotten, 17, of Denham Springs

    • Ten counts of distribution/production of pornography involving juveniles

    • Ten counts of sexual abuse of an animal

The Sheriff’s Office urged parents to remain engaged with their children’s internet activity. The department recommends setting clear boundaries, using parental controls on apps, and having regular conversations about online behavior.

Sheriff Ard also noted that members of the ICAC Task Force are available to give free community presentations on internet safety and child protection. Groups or organizations interested in scheduling a presentation can call 225-435-1365.
